Being in front of another photographer's camera can be SO weird! But It always gives us a fresh perspective on how our own clients feel, and it gives us some great ideas of how to serve them better too. But that's not the primary reason we got all fancied up in front of the camera with the very talented (and very awesome friend) K. Jugar Photography. He wanted to start our session with a lifestyle shoot in our loft, and they truly are my favorite images of the whole day!
Read MoreWhen we went to Italy to shoot Sophie and Stefano's wedding, we only had 74 hours on the ground and we wanted to make the most of it. My sister begged us to go to Verona, and I'm so glad she did!
Read MoreIf you're friends with us on facebook, then you know that we're expecting another baby and we announced with a picture from Jerusalem. Our wedding anniversary was earlier that month, but knowing we were going to be in the Holy City to shoot a wedding, we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have OUR pictures taken there too. Truly, I can't think of another place I would rather be... well, maybe the Sea of Galilee. Maybe.
Read MoreI can't believe these two are getting married this year! Jonathan and I have had the honor of watching their love grow from the sidelines. We were there at Tabby's 16th birthday party, when Josh showed up as "just a friend" and it was all too obvious from the way he looked at her that he wanted to be more than just friends. We were there when they went to prom together. We were there a few days after they decided to go on a missions trip to Africa together, which would be where Josh would ask her to marry him.
Read More2016 was a crazy year. We were so blessed to be part of so many more weddings that we had anticipated going into the year, serving amazing couples, working with an outstanding community of wedding vendors, and traveling to Italy and back to our favorite place on earth, Israel, again.
Read MoreOh my goodness. COLD doesn't even begin to cover what it felt like the night of the Patterson's family session. These guys were such troopers! They stood outside on the windiest day of the year - maybe of the century - and in sub-zero windchill like it was nothing! Okay so that may have been a slight exaggeration, but they truly handled it like champs!
Read MoreCory and Natalie's maternity session was just dreamy. It wasn't easy getting our schedules lined up and we almost missed the sunset (it gets dark so early this time of year!). But we didn't miss it, and that stunning light was the perfect compliment to this beautiful couple. They're so in love with each other and with their new baby girl. These last few weeks before she arrives are full of excitement and anticipation, soaking in the moments as husband and wife as they prepare to open their hearts up to a whole new person. It's magic, you guys.
Read MoreStephen and Kristi are dear friends of ours, and we were so, sooooo excited when they told us they were expecting their first child, Lydia Joy. A milestone like this deserved something special, and that meant getting dressed up and heading downtown to catch the last rays of sunlight over the skyline. And, oh, did we ever. They danced in the streets, they kissed on a rooftop, they rested in each others arms under a cliffside. Lydia is so blessed to have these two for parents!
Read MoreWe met Jennifer and Joey at the park on a chilly, cloudy autumn afternoon. They're a beautiful couple, but we have to admit, little Tatum stole the show in that sweater and boots! He's a fearless little explorer, so that's just what we did - we explored. We wandered through the woods until after sunset, picking up sticks and kicking leaves and maybe eating dirt once or twice (silly boys, right?).
Read MoreWe were very excited about this wedding, for many reasons - one of them was because the bride knew exactly the style she wanted. There was no detail left untouched and everything flowed together perfectly, from the luxurious red florals to the rose gold accents in all the right places, down to the tiny gold bows on the back of Lexi's shoes.
Read MoreOh my goodness guys, I can't even begin to tell you how hard it has been for us to keep these images under wrap. Lexi's Bridal Portraits were literally anything and everything we could have dreamed of. It was a perfect fall evening, Lexi was absolutely gorgeous, and the sun was SO perfect. The perfect recipe for AH-mazing images.
