Wow, old Venice was NOT what we expected. We jumped on a bus outside our apartment (because, surprise, we didn't know you had to buy tickets before you get on. Sorry, Italy transit. We paid for the trip back, I promise). You can't drive to the old city - you can only get there by bus or train. It was insanely crowded. We decided to start walking towards Piazza San Marco which was about a mile from the bus stop. Normally, that shouldn't be a big deal, but being 11 weeks pregnant, I just couldn't do it. We gave up, slowed down, and soaked in what we could get.

Hey guys, we've been a little MIA as we're adjusting to having another little one in the house. Somehow we had forgotten how exhausting it can be. But we're slowly getting back behind our cameras and this session was the perfect way to start back after our maternity leave! It's been SO hard not sharing these pictures with you all! These beautiful sisters got their parents one of the best gifts that children can get their parents: Photographs. Yes, I may be a little biased, but I know my mom, Debi, appreciates thoughtful gifts like this. So we snuck around town, trying not to be noticed so the surprise wouldn't be ruined for their parents. You remember we did Russ Kelly's senior session a few weeks ago? Well, we did a family session along with it! We couldn't share these pictures with you because some very lucky family members were given prints as Christmas gifts! While I was photographing Jennifer and Jerry, I asked how long it had been since they had their (just the two of them) pictures taken. It had been 21 years, with the exception of a photo for a church directory! 21 years! It was their wedding and engagement pictures! I'm so glad they decided to join their son Russ in front of our cameras that day.
