Three. Three years ago you changed your dad's and my life forever! I've held back so many tears today for many reasons, but the biggest one being that I'm so proud to be your mom and of the person you are becoming.
Read MoreWow, old Venice was NOT what we expected. We jumped on a bus outside our apartment (because, surprise, we didn't know you had to buy tickets before you get on. Sorry, Italy transit. We paid for the trip back, I promise). You can't drive to the old city - you can only get there by bus or train. It was insanely crowded. We decided to start walking towards Piazza San Marco which was about a mile from the bus stop. Normally, that shouldn't be a big deal, but being 11 weeks pregnant, I just couldn't do it. We gave up, slowed down, and soaked in what we could get.
Read MoreHey guys, we've been a little MIA as we're adjusting to having another little one in the house. Somehow we had forgotten how exhausting it can be. But we're slowly getting back behind our cameras and this session was the perfect way to start back after our maternity leave! Baby Trace is just a few days younger than our little man, and this session reminded us of how much beauty there is in these exhausting first weeks. SO much beauty.

Read MoreBefore we left the country, we managed to squeeze one other session in before our plane departed - with this amazing family! We had to keep these images top secret until now because Jonathan surprised Becky with a beautiful canvas collage for her birthday last Saturday!
Read MoreHow has it already been a year since we last saw Amanda and Tyler?? It's been so wonderful to see their relationship and their family grow over the years since they got married. Having a toddler and a newborn to take care of doesn't stop them from grabbing a few seconds to cozy up whenever they can, though. <3
Read MoreJamie told us that it had been 3 years since she'd commissioned a mommy and me session of Kenley and herself. So much changes in 3 years! We were so honored to capture their relationship at this stage in little Kenley's life. They had a great time walking through the gardens together at Avoca.
Read MoreIt's been SO hard not sharing these pictures with you all! These beautiful sisters got their parents one of the best gifts that children can get their parents: Photographs. Yes, I may be a little biased, but I know my mom, Debi, appreciates thoughtful gifts like this. So we snuck around town, trying not to be noticed so the surprise wouldn't be ruined for their parents. I'm pretty sure we were successful! Now, if only they were able to keep the secret until Christmas (and by "they" I mean Terri, the youngest sister!).
Read MoreYou remember we did Russ Kelly's senior session a few weeks ago? Well, we did a family session along with it! We couldn't share these pictures with you because some very lucky family members were given prints as Christmas gifts! While I was photographing Jennifer and Jerry, I asked how long it had been since they had their (just the two of them) pictures taken. It had been 21 years, with the exception of a photo for a church directory! 21 years! It was their wedding and engagement pictures! I'm so glad they decided to join their son Russ in front of our cameras that day.
Read MoreWe absolutely LOVE when our clients ask us to tell their story as it unfolds. This family has been with us almost since day one of our photography - from taking their family pictures to now taking Tabby's senior portraits and getting ready for her to start college, it's amazing to watch them grow physically, but even more amazing to see them grow in their love for the Lord!
