Joseph & Alyssa’s Engagement Session on Gasparilla Island

Alyssa & Joe, these two were such troopers! Somehow they both took on THE coldest night in the history of Florida and made it look effortless. Ok, maybe a being a bit dramatic, but I was fully clothed and freezing. There were a handful of other people at the beach, but they all had hoodies and sweaters on. Yet, Alyssa took on the wind and somehow made it look warm!

We met them on Gasparilla Island in Boca Grande, FL at the Gasparilla Island State Park. There’s a beautiful lighthouse and white sand beaches. They hadn’t been engaged long - less than two weeks, actually. Joe got their families, who are all spread out across the country, all on a Zoom conference call where he asked her to marry him. She said yes!

They met shortly after Joe was finished with active duty in Air Force in Japan. They love the beach and warmer weather so much they moved to Florida where they are planning a beach wedding, so we couldn’t resist capturing their engagement with them there too! <3
