Drew & Jenna's Lifestyle Engagement Session at Randolph College, Virginia
He was about to leave the country for a three month work trip in Australia. She offered to drive him to the airport for the first leg of his journey, flying out to California to catch his connecting flight across the Pacific. They had been friends for a while, and that’s what good friends do. But at the last moment, as he walked through the gate, she suddenly yelled across the terminal, “I LIKE YOU!” There was nothing he could do. He couldn’t miss his flight, and she couldn’t follow him through the gate. He sat alone on the 6 hour flight, dying to talk to her about what just happened.
But after he landed, she wouldn’t discuss it Maybe she was having second thoughts. Maybe she was scared that he didn’t feel the same way. She told him to just forget it ever happened. He couldn’t. Finally, after several days, he told her that he felt the same way.
The next three months in Australia felt like an eternity for them both. He was in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and all he could do was wish she was with him to experience it. And that’s when he knew that this was way more than just “I like you.” It was love.
She flew to Australia to meet him. Soon after, she began designing her own engagement ring. He went back home and asked her dad’s permission to marry her. The ring was ready, and so was he.
They drive TEN HOURS for their engagement session with us! It was a beautiful sunset when we met them for a romantic picnic, with champagne and a gorgeous charcuterie board that Jenna put together herself! After drinks, we explored the quiet campus at Randolph College until the last of the sunlight faded into the cold night. Drew’s smile is contagious, not just for Jenna but for us too. It’s one of the things that made her fall in love with him. He loves her style and sophistication and sense of adventure. They balance each other beautifully, and we were so struck by their gentle harmony throughout the night.
