Andrew & Jane's Rustic Orchard Wedding, Pt. II: Ceremony | Lynchburg Wedding Photographers at the Historic Round Barn in Gettysburg, PA
Through the orchard, up the hillside, past thousands of apple trees, on the crest of the hill in a clearing surrounded by massive old growth oaks and evergreens - this is where they would make their covenant.
Guests filled the rustic wood benches as Andrew waited for Jane to arrive. As she spent a minute with her father just out of sight at the end of the path, Andrew fought to hold back tears. It was useless. When she rounded the corner, he could do nothing but let the tears stream down his face. He had spent years away from her, waiting for her, hoping for her, praying for her. It ended now.
Their ceremony centered around God's gracious work, the gospel of repentance and restoration, and their covenant marriage with God in the center of it. Both sets of parents rose up and prayed over them. The thundering winds rushed through the trees as they finished their vows and it seemed as if even the earth was rejoicing!
