Aaron & Joye's Spring Engagement Session in Virginia During COVID-19
Joye has been a dear friend of mine (Hannah) for over a decade - there’s only a few people who can put up with me that long ;P We met on a service trip to Israel in 2009, and ended up being roommates for the whole month there. Our group was split in half between two host families - Joye and I stayed with one family, and the other family just so happened to be Aaron’s parents. Their paths almost crossed, but not yet. They would not meet until a few years later, on one of Joye’s many trips to serve in Israel.
The first time Aaron met Joye, it was her beauty and her love for other people that he was instantly attracted to. Last year, they began to date long distance, and Aaron proposed over Christmas break at Joye’s house with his great-grandmother’s ring!
It has been a long journey for them, and it has been such a huge blessing to see God’s hand throughout the whole thing. It gives me faith to know that He’s going to give them a beautiful wedding in May, despite the pandemic - And even beyond that, that He is going to do incredible things through them as they serve each other, and serve alongside each other, in the decades to come. God is good.
They drove from Michigan and West Virginia for their session and our time together was such a huge blessing! Enjoy some of our favorites!
