You might remember Liz & Zach’s incredible destination engagement session in New Orleans last fall, and if you were wondering if their wedding could top that, the answer is yes. It was a beautiful Fall day at Sierra Vista in Bedford, VA and they were surrounded by a truly great bridal party and a team of hard-working coordinators, caterers, cake artist and florists who all loved this couple.

Zach & Liz were so nervous. And so excited. They were adamant that they wouldn’t see each other before the ceremony, so when Zach saw her for the first time, the emotion hit him like a freight train. They had a small outdoor Catholic ceremony with Scripture readings and hymns - and two opportunities to kiss. Yaassss! The cocktail hour and reception were down at Sierra Vista’s big barn, which was simply decorated in navy linens with fresh florals and Mason jars filled with all kinds of snacks and trail mix (Again, yasssss.) After sunset, the Louisiana side of the family experienced the best of Virginia’s fall nights with s’mores and Sam Adams, while everybody else hit the dance floor!

At the end of the night, while the guests lined up outside with sparklers, Zach surprised Liz with one last slow dance all to themselves alone in the barn. Their love is quiet and romantic and sincere, and you can see it no where better than during their portraits alone together - and the way he looked at her so intensely throughout the ceremony. <3
