Kaleb & Natalie’s Summer Wedding at Oakhaven, North Carolina

Oakhaven is a lovely property in North Carolina, kind of tucked away in the corner two turns past nowhere. The girls got ready in the old English cottage-style house, while the boys got ready in the man cave across the driveway in the garage. The property is surrounded by acres of fields rolling down to the huge white barn where the reception would be. Natalie’s mom worked late into the night decorating the barn with fresh flowers and prepping the girls’ bouquets.

We cried a lot during this wedding. Natalie was prayed over and blessed by her bridesmaids, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Literally. She went outside to see her father, and they both wept on each other. She and Kaleb did a first-look-no-peek in front of the cottage house, and it was all she could do to hold back tears as they prayed together. We don’t take it lightly that we’re invited into these really, really intimate moments with our couples, and we almost always find ourselves crying too.

Other great moments from their day - besides the wedding ceremony under the giant oak tree - had to be their fiery, amazing sunset portraits. And the super fun dance floor with people of all ages, dancing late into the night. And them snuggling under the Big Dipper in the night sky. <3
