Josiah & Bethany's Snowy Engagement Session in the Blue Ridge Mountains

The Couple

Josiah and Bethany had known about each other for years. He played basketball with her brother and had especially taken notice of her at games before. Bethany kept her distance because she thought that Josiah was much older than her - understandably so, since he comes from generations of very tall men who were once very tall teenagers. And then one day, a tornado tore through Bethany’s house. Josiah showed up to help within hours, and that’s when they officially met. It was Josiah, not the tornado, that swept her off her feet that day. 😜

The Location

It was the Blue Ridge Parkway in the middle of winter, just down the road from where Josiah proposed to Bethany just a few months before. We found ourselves at an overlook near the Peaks of Otter with a gorgeous view - and then, just after sunset, the snow started to fall.
