Josh & Tabby's Intimate Backyard Wedding, Pt. III: The Ceremony | Lynchburg Wedding Photographers in Gretna, VA

Tabby is a daddy's girl. She has been incredibly blessed to have such a godly father who has loved and cherished her, raising her up to be a godly woman. She wanted to honor her relationship with him with a very special first look. During that time she gave him with a tie, inside of which she had written an incredibly powerful 5 words for him: "Daddy, I loved  you first."

As we were waiting on Ryan to the porch, Tabby kept saying, "if he keeps it together, I'll keep it together, but if he cries, I'm gonna lose it." And that's exactly what happened. She stepped around the corner of the porch, and he turned around to see her. He took a deep, shaky breath - and they both wept.

Moments before the wedding was to start, Josh's mom got in her last squeeze before sending him off to be married. He and his groomsmen, along with his future father-in-law, all prayed together in his grandmother's living room. And then a couple of minutes later Tabby, her girls, and her dad prayed together on the front porch. This ceremony was so centered on the Lord, and it hadn't even started yet!

The beautiful backyard was filled with so many sweet boho details. They had Edison bulb lanterns in the trees, a set of rustic doors at the entrance of the ceremony, and mason jars with single hydrangeas lining the aisle. The skies were darkly overcast, but they help back their rain until we had just finished taking bridal party photos. The heavens were truly smiling on this wedding!
