Introducing #FamilyFriday

I am so very excited to introduce this series that is about to take place on our blog every Friday. Why do we do what we do? Because we're passionate about family! Family should be more than just the people you share a house with, or the next leaf on the branch at Ancestry.com, or the weird uncle who visits for two weeks every year and feels way too comfortable in his tighty-whities. Family should be a driving force, an inseparable team, like the Avengers - family should thrive. We personally believe wholeheartedly that, in order for that to happen, God has to be at the center of it. And we want to help you thrive as a family!

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
— Deuteronomy 6:6-7

So here is what's coming your way every week: We're going to help you talk with your family about God. It could be a movie review, it could be games to play, or food to cook, or a Veggie Tales quote (because at this point in our lives, everything comes back to Veggie Tales). At the end of the day, we hope it gets your wheels turning and you can take this and apply it to other topics that your family is interested in.

For our family, we welcome the Shabbat on Friday night with a special dinner (in the Bible, the new day begins at sundown!). No electronics, no distractions. we talk, we laugh, we eat some really amazing food, we play games, and we are very intentional to speak of the Lord and His ways. So this is a perfect time to bring up the topics that we will be discussing and break the ice on the wholesome talk. We hope it's an encouragement to you! See you next week for our #FamilyFridays and #ShabbatTableTalk
