Luke & Emily

Emily stepped into the corner room and let the train of her Casablanca wedding dress slip to the floor. Luke could hear her, but he dared not turn around until she gave him permission. They are the kind of people who are always present in the room, the kind of people who give their undivided attention to the person standing before them. Emily has been like that since she was a stubborn and curious child. Luke has a quiet spirit and a maturity in his eyes that surpass his years. He carries the burden of law enforcement as well as anyone can. But at this moment, it had been too long to go without each other’s loving attention. Emily grasped her sweaty palms together and gave him the go-ahead to turn around.

Luke caught his breath, and his muscular shoulders trembled like he had just taken a blow to the chest. A huge smile lit up his face. She was everything he needed and more than he could have imagined. He gave her a huge hug, and she melted into his arms.

After their engagement session last year, we were struck by how well they care for each other and serve each other. That experience continued through their wedding day. We are so confident that this is just the beginning of a covenant that will forever draw them closer to each other and to God.
