Bennett & Amanda's Downtown Fairytale Wedding, Pt. I: Getting Ready | Lynchburg Wedding Photographers in Hampton, Virginia

They were in the same choir and both studying music at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Amanda had never fallen in love before. She had dated a few guys, but never had feelings that grew deeper. She wondered if that's all love would ever be. She even expected the same thing when she started dating Bennett. He, on the other hand, had been attracted to Amanda from the very beginning. He was about to ask her out when he found out that she was dating someone else at the time. While he waited and prayed for another chance to ask her out, they became friends and grew very close together.

The choir group left on national tour that spring. Throughout the tour, Bennett and Amanda slowly began to get to know each other more. Dating was strictly prohibited and she tried to convince herself, and their friends, that it was nothing more than friendship. But when they finally wrapped up their tour at Disney World and she realized that they had become inseparable, she knew it was definitely more. In the most magical place on earth, he asked her to be his girlfriend. The rest is something of a fairytale in itself. (If you remember from her stunning bridal portraits, she's famous for her ability to sing like Disney princesses!)

They began their wedding morning hidden away in opposite corners of the Historic Post Office in downtown Hampton on a sleepy Saturday. Bennett and his groomsmen relaxed and played pool. Close by, close enough to hear the excited yelling from the ladies through the walls, Amanda stepped into her incredible ballgown wedding dress. She invited her tearful father in to see her, and at the same time Bennett's mom surprised him with a copy of his favorite childhood book, "Love You Forever," that she read to him one last time.
